The Housing for IDPs Fund Helped a Large Family in the Vinnytsia Region Secure a Home

Another internally displaced family has secured a permanent home with the support of the Housing for IDPs Fund. Anna, a mother of many children, applied to the Fund requesting assistance in purchasing a house in the Vinnytsia region.

The family lost their home in the Kharkiv region in 2022. Anna is raising three young children aged 7, 4, and 3 and is currently expecting her fourth child. Her husband serves in the Ukrainian military.

Earlier this year, the family began paying off a house in a village. At the time of applying to the Fund, there was still an outstanding amount that the family found difficult to cover independently. The Housing for IDPs Fund helped pay off the remaining balance for the house and also transferred funds for water installation and repairs in the children’s room.

In her letter, Anna noted that with three children it is difficult for the family to manage the house payments on their own. She had sought assistance as an internally displaced person and as a mother of many children and is also on a housing waiting list, but had received no support.

In total, the Fund transferred 180,000 hryvnias, of which 55,000 hryvnias were used to pay off the house. The remaining funds were allocated for water installation and renovation work.

The assistance was made possible thanks to the support of the private German foundation Angela und Heinz Stiftung.

In 2025, the Housing for IDPs Fund has already helped four families purchase private houses in villages across the Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, and Odesa regions.
