Results of the year for the Housing for IDPs Fund

Completed projects and real impact

In 2025, we completed our second social housing project in the village of Mizyakivski Khutory in the Vinnytsia region.

Today, 14 IDP families live in the renovated building, for whom this housing has become not a temporary shelter, but a new home. Next to the building, we also built a separate shelter, accessible not only to residents, but to the entire community.

An important part of this project was the efficient use of funds. We managed to complete the construction within budget, and by mutual agreement with the donor, Dom Development, the savings were directed to help the Tivriv Regional Nursing Home for People with Disabilities and the Elderly.

The boarding school is home to 210 people, most of whom were evacuated from temporarily occupied territories. Currently, renovations of bathrooms and showers have already begun, which will significantly improve the living conditions of the residents. For us, this is an example of how one project can create a chain of positive changes.

New support programs

In partnership with the German foundation Heinz und Angela Stiftung, in 2025 we launched a program to purchase houses for IDP families in villages.

Over the course of a year, we managed to purchase four houses, which became permanent homes for families who lost everything due to the war.

This program has shown that targeted solutions can be just as effective as large construction projects, especially for small communities.

Preparing for scaling

This year, we took an important step towards systematic work in the region by signing a memorandum of cooperation with the Kyiv Regional State Administration.

According to official data, there are almost 300,000 IDPs living in the Kyiv region, and the need for quality social housing here is critical.

We are currently actively working with the community of the village of Stavyche to renovate a disused kindergarten into multi-apartment housing for IDPs. This will be our third joint project with our main donor, Dom Development.

We plan to make it more ambitious, modern, and as energy-efficient as possible, setting new standards for the fund’s future projects.

Transparency and institutional development

In 2025, the fund underwent a financial audit for 2023–2024 and received a positive independent opinion on our activities.

We renewed the composition of the Supervisory Board and began work on creating an international supervisory board to further strengthen the fund’s expertise, trust, and sustainability.

We also updated our website, making it more convenient and open to donors, partners, and communities.

Looking to the future

We are ending this year with a sense of gratitude and responsibility. Ahead of us are ambitious plans for 2026, new partnerships, larger-scale projects, and even more families for whom the word “home” will once again mean safety and stability.
