  • Goal: provide long-term housing solutions instead of temporary shelters.
  • In April 2025, the foundation donated for the first house (Shevchenko family).
  • This program inspired further donations and partnerships.

IDP families

At the end of March, the Housing for IDPs Fund began searching for potential families. We received more than 40 requests, from which six families in need of urgent assistance were selected.

2 main candidates: the Shevchenko and the Pryimak families were chosen. Both families received the instructions and assistance in their search of houses.

The Shevchenko and the Pryimak families

The Shevchenko family

The Housing for IDP received the request from the Shevchenko family as to the charity donation for buying a house in Odessa region on July 7th. July 8th the foundation signed the agreement between Housing for IDP and Natalia Shevchenko as to the charity donation for buying a property. The payment was made on July 10th. The deal on purchasing the house in Odessa region was signed and certified by a notary on July 15th, 2025 The total amount of the donation was 457,473.58 UAH (€9,431.76).

The Pryimak family

The Housing for IDP received a request from the family at the end of July. The chose a house in Cherkassy region. The total cost of the house (with land and taxes is €10,144.21). The deal was closed on August 8th. The family is the only owner of the property (the state registered ownership)

The Pasichnyk Family

Support was provided to the family of Olena Pasichnyk from Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region: two parents, four children, and a grandmother. After the start of the full-scale war, they were forced to leave their home.

The Fund helped complete the purchase of a house that the family had begun paying for on their own. At the time of applying to the Fund, they had already paid USD 2,000, but an additional USD 5,000 was required to finalize the purchase, along with USD 560 to cover taxes and related costs.

The Chelpanov Family

The Fund received an application from the Chelpanov family. The family lost their home in the Kharkiv region in 2022. Anna is raising three young children aged 7, 4, and 3 and is currently expecting her fourth child. Her husband is a member of the Ukrainian military.

Earlier this year, the family began paying off a house in a village. At the time of applying to the Fund, there was still a remaining amount that was very difficult for the family to cover on their own.

The Fund helped pay off the remaining balance for the house and also transferred funds for water installation and repairs in the children’s room. The total amount of assistance provided was 180,000 hryvnias, of which 55,000 hryvnias were used to pay off the house, and the remaining funds were allocated for water installation and repairs.

Results and Next Steps

The Shevchenko, Pryimak, Pasichnyk, and Chelpanov families now have safe places to call home.

Remaining funds were transferred to NGO «Ya Wryatovany» (Kharkiv) for emergency repairs (roofs, windows).

The initiative continues, bringing hope and stability to more displaced families.
